She is lying on the green grass
Her brown hair spread out above her
Her eyes reflect the blue sky
Her mouth set in a peaceful smile
The wind is blowing through the field
Carrying scattered leaves through it
The smell of lavender fills the air
Making everything feel complete
She stays there for a long time
Watching the day turn into night
As she waits for someone to stop for her
But all she gets are passersby
Now her eyes reflect the twinkling stars
Her happiness never fading
That beautiful smile still graces her mouth
Looking like the crescent moon in the sky
Eventually someone stops by
"What are you waiting for" they ask
She looks up at them with curiosity and replies,
"You"
The stranger doesn't stay for long
Feeling a little better after meeting her
They wonder for a long time about who she is
Never once realizing that she is Serenity, the one they have been chasing all their lives.
