The Song of the Earth

A wise man once said,

"Earth has music for those who listen",

Woven together with a silk thread,

Under the moon that glistens.

I hear it in the hum of the bees,

The waves of the ocean,

The rustle of dried leaves,

All evoking an undescribed emotion.

The soft patter of the rain,

The light breeze through the trees,

All create music I cannot explain,

A tune that puts me instantly at ease.

So the next time melancholy threatens to drown you,

Listen to mother earth's quiet song,

For it will turn your sadness

into something new,

A happiness that was inside you all along.
